On Sunday morning, President Kathy Arbogast chaired the member breakfast buffet and general meeting. We were honored to have in our company National Button Society President Vicki Condi McTavish and past NYSBS Presidents Beverly Hesse and Deborah Henrickson. A button was added to the Memorial Book in honor of Past Show Chair, Shirley Clark, and a special memorial award in her honor was announced as she was fondly remembered and sincerely missed.
Cathy Parke provided information about the button commemorating the theme, “Over the Moon for Buttons”. Studio Button Artist, Jennifer Chehovich, member of NYSBS and the Finger Lakes Button Club, created the hand-painted 2-inch verbal wooden button with acrylic paint design that boasts two OME resin stars. We are so fortunate to have such a creative artist as part of our society. Linda Hickey announced the winners of the competitive trays and handed out the awards. Following breakfast, the showroom re-opened for a final time, and we held the raffle.
